Betting tip World Cup 2018: Colombia - Chile

Another South American top game
Apart from the smash hit Brazil against Argentina there is another very interesting duel happening on Thursday in the South America qualification. We are talking about the game between Colombia and Chile. Kick-off is November 10 at 9.30 PM CET.
Current form Colombia
The star of Colombian football rose at the world cup 2014 in Brazil. Since then a lot of Colombian players have found their way into European top leagues. Therefore the quality of the current roster is pretty good. Especially the offensive players have been performing well in the last couple of weeks. Striker Carlos Bacca for example is one of the most dangerous players of Italian Serie A. The same counts for Radamel Falcao in French Ligue 1. Defensively not everything went as planned lately. Two received goals in draw against Uruguay on the last game day show that. In total Colombia was only able to win one of their last three games. Apart from the draw they lost last October against Brazil (1:2) and won barely against Paraguay (1:0). Colombia’s results of 2016 are still impressive though. They were able to celebrate nine wins in 13 games, they drew in one game and lost three. Coach José Pekerman’s team lost the last direct duel with Chile in June 0.2 however. On the other hand Colombia is undefeated for five home games in row. The loss to Chile was obtained in the Copa America.
Current form Chile
While other South American teams live off of their individual players, Chile has a very strong collective. That doesn’t mean that they don’t have some world class players on their team though. One of Chile’s biggest advantages over many opponents is their physical strength. The team plays very powerful and is very dangerous in standard situations. Additionally Chile has some very dynamic wing players like Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal London or Eduardo Vargas from TSG Hoffenheim. Vargas is also supposed to score on Thursday, after all he has scored six goals and gave one assist in the last six games for his country. Juan Antonio Pizzi’s team’s results from 2016 are not that impressive however. Despite their win of the Copa America this summer they already lost six games this year. Chile has been able to win their last game against Peru 2:1 though. One could see the team’s strength ion standard situations in this game, because both goals were scored after such. Chile has been struggling on defense lately and they received four goals in the last two games, three of those in the loss to Ecuador in October (0:3). The team is also lacking consistency. In the last four games wins and losses have been taking terms.
It’s hard to foresee the result of this game. The past results of direct duels speak for Chile. Both teams’ results of their last games have not been impressive, but the key players of both teams have been in top shape lately. One deciding factor in favor of Colombia might be home court advantage. Our recommendation therefore: Tip 1.
